You are hereJust a Dream
Just a Dream
like animals we’re caged,
we have no faith
like unhappy children
& the homes from which they came
we search for a dream
while time drains our lives
we see through the truth,
rejecting the lies
just a dream
something I feel deep inside
I have a dream
something I just can’t hide
I understand
the trouble at hand
I understand
the oppression of man
it may not change
before I die
but it won’t change
if I don’t try
as ideas run through my mind
like the wind so free of time
it all seems so elusive
my search for freedom
is just an illusion
I dream of a better place
where man won’t treat
man with hate
but it always seems the same
our colors fade from blue to gray
watch them fade away
it’s just a dream
